Rooftop Agency is currently seeking an Events & Promotion Intern interested in gaining valuable, hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted marketing and promotions agency.

Position Description:

·      Experience with page layouts ( Poster, Magazine etc)

·      Sense of composition

·      Experience in PhotoShop, illustrator,InDesign

·      Industry related experience ( Commercial, Personal), Post-secondary education

·      Researching equipment rental options for projects

·      Assisting onsite for Events

Requirements:

Experience in Graphic Design. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint) , Post-secondary education. Experience in PhotoShop, illustrator,InDesign. Portfolio of work is needed.  Must have own computer and be available 10am – 5 pm  2 – 3 days per week

Australian Beer Ads are Simply, The Best

Australian beer, Carleton Draught is a definite trend setter. From their hilarious TV spots to their Social Media follow up, they’re definitely doing it right down under.

The spot below was an internationally viral hit on Youtube, for great reason. But the Carleton Draught team took this success a huge step further and personally thanked everyone on Twitter for the overwhelming response. They took it as far as including personal quips in each tweet. Someone get these guys a beer.

Carlton Draught is a beer you can pretty much drink only in Australia, but its TV commercials always go viral internationally—and with good reason.

They are fantastic. Carlton campaigns are closely watched in ad agencies all over the world, and they tend to win big at international advertising award shows.

Why can’t American beermakers—this means you, Budweiser and Coors—take a page out of the Carlton playbook?

Here’s the new Carlton ad, from agency Clemenger BBDO, which shows a classic cops v. robbers chase conducted on foot because no one wants to drink and drive.

Rooftop Agency Gearing up for HEAVY TO/ MTL

The RTA office is in full event mode as we prepare for a HUGE weekend, with half of our staff at Heavy MTL and the other half staying back to run the event at Heavy TO. Jägermeister Canada is the title sponsor at both festivals and the activation is the biggest we’ve done all year! Heavy TO expects 20,000 metal heads per day with Heavy MTL expending upwards of 22,000.

Jägermeister’s Jägerette Of August + Dead & Divine

Two awesome things together in one spot. Check out this video:

Jägermeister Canada features one of their World Famous Jägerettes each month from a creative and ‘badass’ calendar shoot done last year. The girls are all stunning with the obvious Jäger edge. Each Jägerette gets her second 15 minutes of fame as she stars in an awesome music video. This week’s feature is Dead & Divine and it’s an awesome video.

Edgefest 2012 Shots via Jägermeister Canada

Edgefest was a definite scorcher but the RTA crew had a pretty rad time with 2 activations happening at Downsview. JägerWorld was a fan favourite with babes in hot tubs, Jäg bar, band autograph signings with lines around the block and party animals beggin for swag.

The Boathouse beach was a vacation from the sweaty pit with Element boasting a half pipe, a day long Levis volleyball battle and can’t forget Hurley’s super fun slip n slide.

Edgefest 2012 Line Up is In – Who are you the most stoked for?

 

 Obviously, a killer line up on the Main Stage which boasts BIG acts like Death From Above 1979 and The Sheepdogs. Dine Alone Records has really impressed this year also, by stacking the Side Stage with a really rad Indie line up. With Escapade Music Festival in my rear view, I am actually pretty stoked to check out the Electronic Tent on top of it all.
